"Ken Money enjoys badminton, acrobatic flying, skiing, skydiving, fishing, and reading. In 1989 he won the United States masters badminton championship at the international tournament in Miami. He represented Canada at the 1956 Olympic Games in High Jump and placed 5th. He has won Masters titles in both badminton (USA, 1986) and high jump (World, 1985).

He invented and demonstrated an experimental surgical operation (semicircular canal plugging) that is now being used in North American and European hospitals to cure some kindsof dizzy spells. Co-author of more than 40 scientific papers, he joined the NASA space program in 1962 and is currently in the Canadian astronaut program.

In 1994, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross by the Governor General of Canada for his excessive contributions to science and technology.  He now chairs the Human Factors Committee for the Mars mission, in the International Academy of Astronautics."
