This course is based on the CYA Learn to Sail curriculum. During this session, sailors will develop skills such as spinnaker, trapeze as well as a wide range of supporting skills such as line splicing and fiberglass repair. Sailing theory is also introduced, which includes a breakdown of how the forces of wind and water combine on a sailboat to produce controlled motion, and how sail and rig adjustments affect these forces. Sailors will be provided with a CYA Advanced Sailing manual.

Sailors must have achieved their CYA White Sail III in order to register for this course. Your child will work towards CYA Bronze Sail Level's IV to V.
