Karate at The Boulevard Club operates under the auspices of Shito-Ryu Canada School of Martial Arts and follows the scientific and traditional principles of Japanese Karate (Shito-Ryu). The Academy aims to create stronger minds and bodies through the cultivation of self-confidence, discipline, dedication and coordination. Integrating these positive thoughts and behavioral patterns encourages higher principles and integrity in one's personal life.
Shito-Ryu karate is one of the four major Japanese karate styles, and a complete Martial Art. It is designed to obtain maximum effect with minimum effort. It helps to develop discipline, control, co-ordination, self-defense, confidence, and agility in a fun environment.
Juniors may begin Karate from the age of 4 & up.
Levels:
- Novice = Introduction to Karate, White, Yellow Stripe, Yellow & Orange Belts (4 to 12 years old)
- Intermediate = Green, Blue, Purple & Brown 1, 2, 3 Belts (8 to 12 years old)
- Advanced = Black Belts
